being seen is one of the most essential human experiences

As I worked over a decade as a photographer, I didn’t realize I was training to become a therapist.

That time was about paying careful attention to the interplay of light and the particularities of my subjects. I learned that the act of being seen is one of the most essential human experiences. I needed a way to push deeper into these themes, and therapy provides that. I sought a training environment that honors the mystery, complexity and integrative qualities of people. I hold a masters in the art of counseling psychology, and that art continues to evolve with careful attention and a sustained sense of curiosity.

I have training in EMDR, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Attachment Theory and Object Relations.
