Photography is an extension of who I am. In all of my life I try to have a synthesis of authentic connects. You and your wedding are no exception. I look for the nuances and the relationships. No wedding is the same and I want to photograph in a way that speaks to your experience. When you look at the sample galleries you will see weddings from Southern California to Northern California, Ohio to Peru. Some of the people are doctors, some are accountants, others are engineers, and one is a music teacher. They all have unique stories and their weddings reflect part of who they are. That's what makes me want to photograph weddings.
As you look for a photographer you may notice that there are generally two ways of photographing. Some photographers are more about directing. They begin with a picture in their heads and shape their environment into it. Other photographers prefer to notice reality and shape it into a picture. I like to notice. When I'm photographing, I'm looking for the quite details; the symbols, emotions, textures, patterns and the way light falls. When it comes time, I will direct the formal shots or the romantic photographs. But that aspect isn't what makes me passionate about photography. I love the story. I want to fade into the background and catch the wedding as it unfolds.
